Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club monthly meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The location is at Richardsville Fire Dept #3 288 Oak St, Plum Springs KY. All are Welcome to join us. You do not need to be a member.

Field Day Events

Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club actively participates in the Winter and Summer Field Day Events each year. Plan to come out and join us for these fun events.

The Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club  2024 Winter Field Day at the Green River Gun Club was a outstanding success the weekend of January 27. The Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club thanks the Green River Gun Club for the use of their outstanding facility.

Our next field day event will be the 2024 ARRL Summer Field Day June 22 and 23, 2024, KCARC plans on participating in this event and additional information will be posted here soon. Information available from ARR at https://www.arrl.org/field-day

The Kentucky Colonels Amateur Radio Club is a ARRL sanctioned club in Bowling Green KY and one of our main goals is promote our hobby to young and old alike. If you are interested in becoming a Amateur Radio operator click on VIEW and our brochure will give you all the information needed about the hobby and how to get your license.


TESTING SESSIONS

The Simpson County Amateur Radio Society will hosting a testing session on Saturday April 20, 2024 at the Red Haven Properties at 10:00 am.  The address is 122 Memorial Dr, Franklin KY.  For more information and to register contact John Lay phone number 270-535-8348. No Walk In allowed.

The Western Kentucky DX Association will be hosting a Testing Session. The testing session will be held at Modern Woodman Building 519 Old Morgantown Rd, Bowling Green on Sunday May 5, 2024 at 2 pm.  Walk-ins are welcome. The Mammoth Cave Amateur Radio Club will be hosting a testing session on Saturday June 1st at 2:00 p.m.  (Walk-ins allowed). For more information Contact: Charles F. Rice (270) 404-1137 Email: crice@glasgow-ky.com. The testing session will be held at the Glasgow City Hall Basement Back Door. The City Hall is located on The Public Square, 110 E Main St Glasgow KY 42141-9999

Candidates should register with FCC to obtain a FRN number before testing. You will need to bring $15.00 and a picture ID those upgrading will need a copy of their present licensee
